“Carry Your Weight”

Individual Details: 90 total minutes from start to finish
Event:
3,2,1…Go! Athletes will run forward 20yds from the start line to the first set of blocks. They will perform 20 reps of Back Squat at 315/225 behind the blocks. Once all reps are completed they will back rack carry the weight 20yds unbroken to the second set of blocks.
Athletes will remove 45/35 from each side of the bar and replace the collars. They will perform 20 reps of Front Squat at 225/155 behind the blocks. Once all reps are completed they will front rack carry the weight 20yds unbroken to the third set of blocks.
Athletes will remove 45/35 from each side of the bar and replace the collars. They will perform 20 reps of Overhead Squat at 135/85 behind the blocks. Once all reps are completed they will overhead carry the weight 20yds unbroken across the finish line
Details:
Men’s bars will start with 3 x 45# plates on each side of a 45# bar.
Women’s bars will start with 1 x 25# and 2 x 35# plates on each side of a 35# bar.
There will be “barbell ramps” coming off the front side of each set of blocks in the event the athlete drops the barbell during the 20yd carry. They will ned to roll the barbell back and up the ramp or lift it back to the blocks, then can begin the carry again.
Lanes will be 5yds wide
Spring collars will be used for easier transition time
Score: time of completion or cap + reps
Format/Heats:
Women 31-40 coming into the event will be in Heat 1 (7-minute cap/4-minute transition)
Women 21-30 coming into the event will be in Heat 2 (7-minute cap/4-minute transition)
Women 11-20 coming into the event will be in Heat 3 (7-minute cap/4-minute transition)
Women 1-10 coming into the event will be in Heat 4 (7-minute cap)

Men 31-40 coming into the event will be in Heat 1 (7-minute cap/4-minute transition)
Men 21-30 coming into the event will be in Heat 2 (7-minute cap/4-minute transition)

Any team member(s) may help add a 45# plate to each side of the bar and replace the collars. Male Athlete 2 will perform 20 reps of Back Squat at 315. Once all reps are completed they will back rack carry the weight 20yds unbroken across the checkpoint line, Male Athlete 1 will follow along with him.
As soon as they both cross the checkpoint line the judge will signal by putting their hand up so the judge at the far end knows the female athletes may begin to head 20yds to the first set of blocks where their barbell will be placed by any member(s) of the team at any point after the male athletes leave that first block.
Female Athlete 1 will perform 20 reps of Back Squat at 225 behind the blocks. Once all reps are completed she will back rack carry the weight 20yds unbroken to the second set of blocks, Female Athlete 2 will follow along with her.
Any team member(s) may help remove a 35# plate from each side of the bar and replace the collars. Female Athlete 2 will perform 20 reps of Front Squat at 155 behind the blocks. Once all reps are completed she will front rack carry the weight 20yds unbroken to the third set of blocks, Female Athlete 1 will follow along with her.

Once all reps are completed she will overhead carry the weight 20yds unbroken to the fourth set of blocks, Female Athlete 2 will follow along with her.
